How much does a removalist cost in the Northern Rivers?

We charge by the hour from our Mullumbimby depot for local jobs. Most local moves take 2 to 6 hours of crew time, plus travel.

Typical 2026 ranges: 1-bedroom $380 to $620. 2-bedroom $620 to $980. 3-bedroom $980 to $1,450. 4+ bedroom $1,380 to $2,200. Single item or odd small jobs from $120.

Access. A second-floor walk-up takes longer than ground floor. A tight Bangalow driveway with a mango tree means smaller truck, more trips. A canal estate in Ocean Shores with no truck access at all means we trolley everything.

Volume. Bedrooms is a rough proxy. The real driver is how full the rooms are. Two bedrooms with two beds, two wardrobes, a couch, and basic kitchen is fast. Three rooms of accumulated stuff plus a garage is a big day.

Distance. Local depot fees apply both ends. Tweed Heads from Mullumbimby is more depot time than Brunswick Heads.

Blankets, straps, and dollies. Standard kit on every truck.

Disassembling and reassembling beds, basic flat-pack, dining tables. Built into the hour.

A second crew member for stairs or heavy items. Two-person team is standard.

Be specific at quote time. A WhatsApp video walkthrough is better than a guess. Tell us about access, stairs, anything heavy or fragile. The clearer the brief, the tighter the quote.

Be flexible with dates. Tuesday morning is cheaper than Saturday. End of month is busy, mid-month is quieter.

Pack yourself if you can. Boxes ready, beds dismantled, fridge defrosted. Saves real hours.
